Security vetting

In accordance with the Police Act 1997, Cintra's policy is that all linguists working with us must have an enhanced CRB check, as interpreters may work with vulnerable adults and children.

Cintra is a registered body for carrying out CRB checks. The check is carried out on recruitment (unless the linguist already has a current clearance) and renewed every three years.

Many of our interpreters are also counter-terrorism checked, as required by our police clients.

For all linguists new to Cintra, checks are carried out in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 to ensure that candidates have the legal right to work in the UK.
